The Wolf thing started in 1997 when we created a rockabilly otr truckers show based on a movie about runaway trucks called Maximum Overdrive. The Overdrive side was because we were the only radio station in Idaho running the Overdrive Top Ten Countdown and Overdrive Trucker News. Now carried on Sirius/XM.
For a long time I ran on air with three handles, one as thee Highway Hooker, the other as SpeedWrench, and of course Road Dog. However a lady I was seeing at the time said why not elevate that into the mightiest canine of all the Wolf. So Road Wolf was born. This ran until 2001 when I discovered those Corsairs in Jerome. Once the BlackSheep Flyte Club was born that became the AyreWolvez, I adopted the on air handle AyreWolf, and I’m proud to say for better or worse have made that a household word.
Okay then, Wolf FM was taken, when we first looked into a web site for our Over The Air radio station, but in the search and in finding Wolf FM , as in: www.wolffm.com 
that the guy whose name is Steve Wolf, was paralyzed in a wheelchair and blind and partly deaf. That Wolf FM was constructed in a 3rd story apartment bedroom in Nashville Tennessee. Though then was if old Steve could do it, so could the AyreWolvez. So in 2002, in Layton Utah, with a lot of late nights and gallons of coffee, AyreWolf FM was born.
Now streaming technology to many , even in Salt Lake City then and to some degree now is hidden or elusive territory. Few know how to do that, and even a few that do, wont or can’t tell us.
Enter in once again Steve Wolf. He told me over a long phone conversation how to go about it.
From 2003 to just a year ago, circumstances has made attention to this detail a bit illusive. One of the reasons we’ve been hard at work to find a hottie around here is that we have needed a cover shot for the front of the web site. Hey as much as I’d like to think so, I’m not a GQ male model by any case. So getting a hottie by an aircraft or two for photo pics for the site is a just gotta have asap or as soon as winter breaks its grip.
The bottom line, The wolf started in 1997, and continues to today, and I’ll say this too, even one of my supervisors at Deseret Transportation said I was a wolf in amongst the sheep. That image has hung around me for years.
So if the late 1960’s had WolfMan Jack, the 21st Century has me The AyreWolf, its just that simple.
