One has to ask, why?

WyldAyre Mini HeaderAYRELOG HEADER_thumb_thumb

Is it that those outside the immediate Tragic Valley area of Idaho , don’t know us well, or is it that others outside the area know that of all the many media firms, that what has evolved into HazzardAyre is the most solid radio network, going?

The fact that few newspapers, TV news departments, not to mention ad departments are so spooked at loosing that illustrious LDS owned firm, that hardly any ink is given to us as a group or media firm that it goes beyond comprehension. Yet every night at 00:00 Hours I climb into my radio cockpit, here, and soar through the airwaves into radio’s all over the USA, and around the world. The fact that people outside of military aviation, hot rods or OTR trucking do not know of us is understandable, since our gig is directed at a specific listener and not at the public at large.

That said AyreWolf FM, signed on the air on March 3rd 2005, at then KDOH FM . We soon were joined in coverage with KOAL out of Price Utah, and expanded to syndication in the fall of 2006.

Of course due to theft by a former associate and her dope peddling boyfriend, we lost most if not all the original equipment and music . Yet we kept on.

In the Summer of 2009, after regaining some gear we fired back up from Gooding. An accounting foopa took more radio gear. But we as an organization believed and many of you did the same. Three years later to the day, and we are within weeks of refiring.

Problem is, I’m only one man. The other 4 that climb into this cockpit of radio each day, are working OTR truckers, toewing professionals and military aviation buffs, who do private aviation in their own companies.

I’m the only one not married with children so I carry the responsibility, every day, but we are here, but help is needed.

Reason for female only help? Simple, gearheads, aviation buffs etc are well real males, guys like gals on air, it works.

But again what boggles my mind is that help requests come in from all areas of the nation, yet, right here in Mini Cassia Idaho, not one, inquiry.

So again the big question is Why?

AYRE CLUB CARD 2_thumb_thumbBANNER POSTER_thumb

There ought to be a law against Dick teasers and posers.

AYRE BANNER 1_thumbWOLF EYES REPORT

Of all the laws of society , I am truly secure in saying there ought to be a law a severe law against women who use their woman hood or aroma of their woman hood to gain a job. More over if your not going to go through with it, don’t be mad at someone for calling your bluff. Aka, Mello-Yello/Red Baroness. Who stampeded through the Wolf’s Den aka Rode House, said they were all on board yet in fact had no intention of getting on board. What was this? My suspicion goes that Mello-Yello, and the Red Baroness, had boyfriends that were not giving them the grand amount of appreciation and attention. Here comes ye ole Wolf, Mello-Yello thinks, “hey I can use this old Wolf as bait to get my guy pal back” When they got their guy pals back in their webs these two girls left faster than they came.

I could be wrong, but I’ll bet money I’m right in the right spot here. The fact that there are no or very few real bonafide talent of any kind agencies in our are is just cresting the ice burg. The fact that it takes about 10 to 15 years for what I’ll call a crop of potential trainees to come up out of the soil ready for harvest is frustrating as hell. Sure I’d love nothing more than to pull up the stakes and move the Wolf-Pack elsewhere. However moving an aviation and more importantly radio station is not as easy as it sounds. There are at least 10 Federal agencies that need to be contacted when your thinking of moving a radio station and at the top of that list is the FCC. Right now with the FCC looking at remapping the entire spectrum, both TV FM and AM, if you give up your frequency, and all the ability, to gain it back will be limited, and two if you can get it back, can you regain the talent you had once? Since there is no no charge data banks out there to find the kind of talent that HazzardAyre and all needs both visually as well as radio, the Knytes-of-Anarchy, AyreWolvez, and HCC will be linking up with $EasyRiders, to do a 6 month nationwide talent search. To find the hottest aviation and biker babes in the nation. With a $150,000.00 modeling contract. But here is what gets under my britches. We can post a ton of notices in any Idaho or Tragic Valley newspaper, and get little if any serious people applying for our radio jobs. Yet one post in a Utah paper and my phone will not stop ringing. Hell with the Daytona 500 cancelled yesterday with rain, Me and a few Alpha Wolvez here at the Wolf Den interviewed 12 gals, who are willing to commute from Ogden and immediate area, up here to Idaho to go on air. Yet all we get from the locals is a shrug at best.

The thing is we will not give up. The delicacies of the venison, of vengeance are here. The fact we still go on air, bust open the not so open media here. Howl about what the other locals wont and really make noise about our Confederate Southern Movement. and then you’ll see as I have seen it many times. Others come out of the woodwork, and want a taste of our sweet nectar.

But still , whether on a personal or business threshold, there ought to be a law about or protection from women who will use their stuff to get in yours.

Women in the Clouds

AYREWOLFBLOGHEADERKNYTEAYRE HEADER TWO

Another weekend just about done, and life looking like Utah still is the best destination.

My topic overnight is simply that if one is to search online for such things as bikini’d women posing with aircraft, your results will be few and far between, if there at all. Punch in search terms as hot biker babes and you’ll find 6 pages or better of naked to nearly naked babes stretching over scoots. Nothing against scoot, if it were not for bikes, We’d be nearly broke here. However the other half is, that if it were not for AyreWolf Aviation, we’d not have regained our radio gear, so what to do?

Now then why is it that there are not more racy spicy pics online for that matter women in aviation. Is it that few women fly? Is it that few women that fly have pics of themselves in racy flight suits, or is it that women in aviation has not yet been captured by the web. Once again is this something we as a club need to take on. Once again holding the toddlers by their hand? And to think I don’t get paid for this. Somebody truly needs to pay me.

If you do go sniffing around the cyber forest for females in aviation , you’ll find that the fare is scarce if there at all.

Again the question becomes, Why? More over why us?

The bottom line is, if we as a Wolf Pack is required to shepherd the idiotic sheep, damn it I want credit, better yet cash for what we are doing. A slap on the back is nice but you can’t eat it, can’t wear it and that kind of compensation will not run very well in your aircraft or truck.

Unfortunately the gig requires that we build our own talent agency, build up our own photography studio and then do production.

Again the question becomes , Why us?

Stay Wings Level.

Someday I’ll forgive Mom & Dad, but not today!!

Sunset Serenade_thumb

As a Wolf pup I had if not the best childhood, certainly a gifted one.

Just about everything I wanted reasonable or not was provided. However in search of a better more challenging learning environment, My mom and Dad decided to link up with an experimental advanced learning center that was part of Hagerman High School, Hagerman(aka-Hazzard) Idaho. So we packed up everything we owned and moved here to Idaho.

The idea had merit, since I was advanced in learning the basics and thus bored shitless to the point I’d disrupt class. However if we had remained in Utah, life for me, would have been much different , but Hey, we came.

Over the years the gifts, myself, Mom , Dad, myself and directly or indirectly of the extended family should deserve a favor repayment or two. At least one would think so. But it’ll never happen. I want repaid for that jet that sits at the entrance of the Burley Airport, a gift by my dad, I want paid back for both the new school in Hagerman as well as the Fire house, also a gift from my parents, I also want paid for that little Cat tractor that sits on that pole out north of Hazzard, at the entrance to you know who’s excavating company. I want paid back for the theft of the house and shop that me, mom & dad built, plus the theft of the house I was born. Then we’ll be on the way to forgiving. Now do I honestly think that this all will be paid back? No. But the fact that things turned out the way they have, should I be pissed? You be the judge. The lists of things Mom & Dad invested in, the things mom & dad paid for, or lent money for is extremely long. Only two have paid any of it back. The Shirley’s for that swine farm east of Wendell, my 3rd cousin Kathy for 1000 spring resort. But the rest, damn it need to pay up. My warning ahead of time.

Cuzzin Bud was extremely forgiving, he forgave debt, the new lady in BlackFoot, and Otis in ChowChilla California ain’t so forgiving. Collection season, is about to get under way, and I’d advise one hell of allot of people, who owe the Montgomery Foundation to get in touch with me ASAP. I’m nice, Otis and Rebecca ain’t.

But again, Why couldn’t our family just have stayed in Layton and never moved here?

Like I said, someday I’ll forgive Mom & Dad for this mess, but not today.

And look at who is working

WYLDYRE BACKGROUND HEADERRizing Pheenix_thumb

I had the chance yesterday to get ahold of the bible of bikers, (EasyRiders) and found one shocking, well maybe not shocking, but typical, that no one was at the office there in California, on Friday’s. I always think about that and then look at the business working of us here at the Knytes-of-Anarchy and find that the reason or at least one big reason we are doing as good as we are, is simply, that the KOA, is always at work. Weekends, long days, into late evening, you’ll find the staff, and officers busy working on your behalf.

The question I ask is, why can’t the rest of the nation get it in their head that the reason our ec0onomy is near dead, is that many of our workers, in fact population are still struck in awe of things 911, etc and as such. Nobody wants to go to work. The few that do, only do as much as they can for what they can get out of it wage wise, go home, roll up in the ball, and hibernate. Nobody , well can’t say nobody, cuzz we in the Knytes are always looking to do things, but few of anybody else is looking beyond wages to making a mark on society, but again, that’s what separates, the Knytes(knights) from the peasants.

Now here is a squeezer.

Two days ago I inquired to a associated talent firm in SLC, for on air and visual for the web site and TV ads.

The fact that this talent agency is 150 miles one way from us, based out of state, and used to cast the supporting cast for Touched by an Angel, is willing to work with us, and yet, there is no one local that’ll get off their ass and pull their LDS head out of their ass’ to sit in the command chair of HazzardAyre Radio, is one of those marvels of nature. And yet Governor Butch Otter, wonders why even though big factories move in they don’t stay long. More over why the biggest business in Idaho is U-Haul, since all too many are moving out. The fact that a company built on the shoulders of a MILITARY AVIATION enthusiasts club, has survived and prospered, yet has to constantly hire talent and gain other human resources from out of state, and yet I hear people barking about how bad it is to find a job here is.

Of course I hear that all over. And the other thing I hear is simply, there are tech firms, with millions of high paying jobs open, yet can’t be filled as there are few if any people walking in the door with the skills to do these jobs.

Even jobs like towing.

I read in my latest edition of FootNotes of where are we going to find the next generation of towing operators? Where are the next crew of auto and diesel techs coming from?

As many of us older techs and aviators, seek retirement, and leave the job market, it is very spooky of where and who will fly, who will turn wrenches and late at nite or early morning when old snow storm blows and folks need toews, whose going to be there to answer the call.

Sure metro areas can automate even have vehicle rescue units, that will go and fetch rides in the city when they puke, but can you imagine how long that kind of thing will take to find Idaho, or vice versa Idaho to find that? Yet where will the new Tow jockies come from?

Their not teaching these skills in schools, their not teaching these skills in tech colleges, and try and find a Broadcasting Essentials school anywhere in the country?

The latter we here at HazzardAyre are figuring out how to do that. Since no body else is teaching broadcast basics, why not us do it? We bring in those that want to be. They pay $3,K a piece for a 60 day course, we get a talent pool to fish from, and yes make money out of. We’re Looking at Boise or Idaho Falls for the radio school. But why ain’t no one else thought of that?

Us and KBAR, sooner than later.

Stay Tuned,

How about a new employee interview fee?

a-8 daily breefs header-1[2]

I got to thinking about this morning as I flew in from Arizona, the idea that with the time away from task interviewing, a new employee , shouldn’t we as employers with better than minimum wage jobs, deserve to charge an interview fee?

After all such private employment services like, AllAmerican in Burley here charge both employee and employer/client service fee’s for pushing paper and interviewing, so why not us as private employers charge a fee for our time away from our business’ for interviewing, likewise a training fee, might be good too. That way if we set studio time and all to train new broadcasters shouldn’t we charge at least a studio booking fee? That way at least we’re not just sitting with our fingers in our butts, waiting for new employees to get things done, or expecting someone to take the reins when needed. However in the case of Amber and Allie, we’re talking youth, none broadcaster, and none media. For Amber and Allie, McDonalds or the fast food or housekeeping service business, is more likely their career path.

However I got to thinking too. Throughout Utah, Idaho or even Wyoming there is nothing like a Broadcasting essentials training school. Granted one can’t teach natural talent. But we can teach the basics. How to gather news, how to read copy, how to edit, both digitally as well as analog, etc. The difference here? We have a job at the end of the course.

The other half, at least the club and I get compensated for the time we put into training. If they skip and go elsewhere.

But if you go for a CDL, the examiner charges you a fee for taking the test. If you go for your first solo test, the CFI charges you a fee. Thus, if we hire , should we not charge a interview fee?

Hurt but mending.

WyldAyre Mini HeaderAYRELOG HEADER_thumb_thumb

On my way home this morning I was hurting. Both from the loss of two fellow Marine aviators, second that our recently recruited on air gals decided that we were not for them. Of course thoughts of contacting Radio Shack the company, explaining to them what happened here and because of that not continuing to be a customer, a relationship that dates back to the mid 1970’s, might get Amber 86’d from that managerial job she thought looked better than ours, but then I thought, is it worth it?

The fact is this Wolf-Pack is damn near out of this go nowhere area, why be bothered by a couple of youngsters that could not see a career beyond just a job.

Some people are happy just going to work.

While others like me want careers, something that I can use to make an impact on society, in a good way.

I currently do that in several ways already.

There is integrity beyond prosperity.

And so to put many at rest here that want to retaliate, DON’T, She ain’t worth it, she’s a kuel gal , bumbed me skoal, so its okay. She and others will find the way to the door as others always do when they need the services of the club or me.

So let it be.But this gal and her friend were not the kind with the right moxey we were looking for, and require.

So that’s that on that. But what amazes me is when you can find the human resources out of state, but not here. Then our Governor wonders why Idaho’s economy sucks. Why Utah’s is to be envied,  Why movies, TV shows, and major ads are produced in Utah not Idaho. Although there is an Idaho Film Commission, that is all but silent.

Tapping into youth is the only option. However I am looking into what CSI can offer us, so ya’ll stay tuned.
