Well , after $550.00 green stamps, and all night getting comfortable the new computer is running. For all that’s Holy, It’s a Dell.
What I found as I cruized along, making my new computer personal, that many of the programs I used to rely on and were around, are no longer available. Worse yet, many of them are thwarted simply becuzz some College boy at one of the big places, either Google , or FaceBook, decided that, that program constituted some security threat. Bullsbreath.
Things like my Google Desktop, Google Gears, Google gadgets, etc. Just no longer there. Yet these were popular programs. The age old saying , if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. More over if its not a harm but rather an aid, leave it alone.
Then there are the programs, like AVG, what was offered, FREE, no longer is free. Guess the geeks need to make a living so, basic free software ain’t no longer free.
